Rumor Roundup (July 29, 2014): TNA, Heat on Randy Orton, Stephanie McMahon arrest, WWE budget cuts, more!

Speculating on the rumors surrounding pro wrestling is a favored pastime of many fans, perhaps second only to actually watching the matches. In this daily column, we take a look at the latest rumors being churned out by the pro wrestling rumor mill.

Important reminder: Rumors are just that -- rumors. None of this has been confirmed as legitimate news or fact, it's just circulating around the pro wrestling rumor mill. Remember, take it all with a grain of salt.

Rumors for the Day:

  • There's a rumor floating around that Randy Orton has heat within WWE for intentionally working bad matches with Roman Reigns at house shows. The idea, apparently, is he's slowing Roman's progression even though it's clear Reigns is the next top guy. No idea if there's anything to this, but there you go. It certainly didn't seem like anything was out of the ordinary on TV.
  • Although there aren't going to be any more releases as far as on-screen talent goes, more budget cuts are expected sometime this week. That will apparently lead to a lot of employees losing their jobs, possibly up to 30 or more.
  • Apparently the Stephanie McMahon arrest angle was, at least in a way, a rib on Emma. If you think that sounds dumb, that's because it does. However, this is WWE, so it might actually be true.
  • There are some weird rumors floating around about the TNA deal, including there being a lot more to the story than anyone sees -- and that lot more being far more damaging to the company than you would think -- and Court Bauer getting blamed for making the whole thing up. Again, a source told Cageside Seats that either TNA is taking a drastically reduced rate to stay with Spike TV, which is not expected, or the deal runs out in October and that's that.
  • Sin Cara has a new look:
