Welcome to episode four of Like a House Afire, a frequent video-cast that will rundown some hot topics in the world of pro wrestling with opinion and analysis from yours truly.
This is an emergency session, Cagesiders, as your host has gotten himself all worked up about how Daniel Bryan looked at the WWE/Mattel panel and the announcement of his forthcoming autobiography at San Diego Comic-Con yesterday. In an effort to calm myself down, I talk through three scenarios for his return and reflect on how awesome his story from 2013-14 was for WWE fans. The Sting news cycle gets a mention, because as a member of the internet wrestling community (IWC) I'm contractually obligated to do so at this point. I then try to cheer myself up by thinking about going to see The Rock in Hercules sometime this weekend, because I love me some Dwayne Johnson and, to the surprise of Brett Ratner haters like me everywhere, it's actually getting some good reviews.
Here's some background on the buzz that drove this episode:
Daniel Bryan's autobiography (with the picture that started this personal crisis), last recovery update
Sting at Comic-Con: news, video, interview
