Shelton Benjamin's Cageside Evaluation

What you loved:

1. In-Ring - Fantastic in the squared circle, he could work the mat or come off the top rope, with both power and agility.
2. Superkick - His entire match with Shawn Michaels is awesome but the springboard into Sweet Chin Music stands as one of the best moments in the history of Monday Night Raw.
3. Ladder Matches - He was almost always the highlight of the night. Case in point.
4. WGTT - A great team with Charlie Haas, in both WWE and ROH.
5. Triple H Matches - Some awesome wrestling and ring psychology between these two.

What you loathed:

1. Mic - By far his biggest weakness, and probably the only thing that kept him from the main event scene.
   
2. Shelton's Momma - Terrible storyline that hurt Shelton's credibility. Creative really thought that was what he needed to get over?
   
3. Ceiling - In WWE, that turned out to be the upper mid-card.
4. Gold Standard - Part of the problem was Creative turned him heel, which was not his strong suit.
5. Finisher - "The Paydirt" was not sufficient.

"He could have at least won one MITB match. Had a few okay runs as IC and US champ. The Gold Standard. Good concept, wasn’t executed very well. Was stuck in the midcard though and never really made that push to the main event, despite his in-ring talent. Because he couldn’t talk. Never really improved his promo skills, and when they did decide to give him a mouthpiece, cue Momma Benjamin. 'Nuff said."
