WWE spoiled the news, multiple times, but they made it official on tonight's episode of Monday Night Raw in Miami: Brock Lesnar will challenge John Cena for the WWE world heavyweight championship in the main event of SummerSlam on Sun., Aug. 17, 2014, at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California.
Triple H teased the entire show that he would make the call tonight.
In the main event, he came out and introduced Cena's opponent as Randy Orton. As "The Viper" was coming to the ring, however, Roman Reigns showed up and started a brawl. The two fought out of the arena, leaving Triple H frustrated in the ring.
That's when Paul Heyman showed up and introduced "Plan C".
Lesnar was met with a thunderous ovation from the Miami faithful and when the conqueror of the streak climbed into the ring with his advocate, Triple H shook both their hands, making it official.
It's on!
