WWE Battleground 2014 results: The Usos retain tag titles with win over Wyatt Family

The main pay-per-view (PPV) card of tonight's (Sun., July 20, 2014) WWE Battleground event at the Tampa Bay Times Forum in Tampa, Florida, kicked off with a tag team 2-out-of-3 Falls title match pitting The Usos, titleholders coming in, against Luke Harper and Erick Rowan.

Titleholders going out too.

The Wyatt Family earned the first fall after dominating the first eight minutes of the match. The finish saw Harper hit a big boot for a fairly quick fall while the commentary team wondered if The Usos could make a comeback.

That happened very shortly after the first fall, with Jey Uso doing a surprise tag in and rolling up Harper for a quick pin to even the score at 1.

They set up Jimmy for the hot tag and he came in like a house afire, running wild and diving all over the place, taking out both Harper and Rowan. They did several false finishes, including each team kicking out of the other team's finish more than once. The crowd was insanely hot for it by the end.

Ultimately, Harper took what seemed like 20 superkicks before a double splash that got the pin to retain the titles.
