More confirmation that WWE SummerSlam 2014 main event is John Cena vs. Brock Lesnar

What was already the worst kept secret in pro wrestling history just got a little more spoiled.

Geno reported back in June that the poster for the 2014 edition of SummerSlam gave away the winner of the Money in the Bank ladder match for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship when it showed John Cena as Brock Lesnar's main event opponent for Los Angeles.

Now, what looks like a WWE-produced promotional video for the August pay-per-view (PPV) is out there via a fan who recorded a commercial from Canadian PPV  provider MTS:

While the possibility exists that this is a hoax, it does feature graphics touting Cena's 15th World Championship win last month as well as a shot of him with the belts from Money in the Bank, so it's more than just a remix of the hype packages for their Extreme Rules 2012 showdown.

The same caveat that went along with the poster still remains, as well - there is nothing here that says these men are fighting over the WWE title at SummerSlam.  Lesnar and/or Paul Heyman could be involved in screwing Cena out of his championship this Sunday at Battleground, setting up a non-title match for the next show.  It seems unlikely that, with all of the focus on the top belts (or belt) in the company these days, they would relegate the WWE Championship to a less-than-main-event match, but it could happen.

We'll know more next week, Cagesiders.  Until then, take the extra time to brace yourself for the possibility of John Cena conquering the man who conquered The Undertaker's undefeated streak at WrestleMania.
