Wrestler Wrankings™: 2014-15 Season, Weeks 10-14

Bo Dallas is certainly a player, but he's not playing the game you think he is.

Bo Dallas has devoted his life to inspiring millions of people around the globe. That's an indisputable fact. But what isn't being focused on is the significant mark he has made on WWE, despite only being an active wrestler for a very short time. Don't BOlieve me? Check out the Wrestler Wrankings Top 5 for the period from Dallas' debut on the May 23rd edition of SmackDown through last week's action:

  1. Sheamus -- 29 points
  2. BO DALLAS -- 26 POINTS
  3. Rusev -- 22 Points
  4. Adam Rose -- 17 points
  5. John Cena 16.5 points
That's right, Bo is right up there with former Wrankings Champion, Sheamus; current World's Champion, John Cena; noted party animal, Adam Rose; and Russian Star recipient, Rusev. That's pretty heady company!

Bo has his share of detractors though, as most charismatic influencers do (i.e. Jesus, Hitler, Michael Jackson). These non-BOleivers might argue that Dallas has faced an inferior level of competition relative to the apparent success he's enjoyed. That's true to a point, but it's a very narrow view of the issue.

Bo Dallas is, first and foremost, an inspirational figure. Any success he has in a 20'x20' ring comes a distant second. Bo is a great wrestler, but we've never seen him compete against all-time greats like late-70's Andre the Giant, mid-80's Hulk Hogan, or perhaps contemporary John Cena.

So let's say Bo starts exclusively taking on this elite echelon type of wrestler. And let's say, for the sake of debate, that he compiles an 80% win rate. Can you imagine the potential detrimental effect that the 20% of losses would have on Bo's many followers? These people depend on Bo for 100% of their motivation. It could be a self-esteem apocalypse!

These people might not be able to muster the motivation to go to their jobs. Productivity would suffer! They might not have the gumption to tend to their lawns. Property values might plummet! They may not even have the energy to maintain their own personal hygiene. That could lead to the spread of a horrible infectious disease!

I want to publicly applaud Bo Dallas for setting aside any vain attempts at furthering his wrestling reputation and instead focusing on what's really important... his loyal followers.

Our very existence as a society may well depend on it!
