Cesaro qualifies for Money in the Bank WWE title match

With Daniel Bryan having been stripped of the WWE world heavyweight championship, the Money in the Bank ladder match scheduled for the pay-per-view (PPV) of the same name on Sun., June 29, 2014) at the TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts, will now be for the vacant title(s).

During tonight's episode of Monday Night Raw in Minneapolis, a qualifier match took place pitting Cesaro against Rob Van Dam.

But not before some amazing trolling from Paul Heyman teasing fans that hometown by Brock Lesnar would be making his return. Of course he didn't.

Cesaro, however, did have a successful evening, defeating Van Dam to qualify for the title match. That result should call into question whether or not WWE has plans to run a second ladder match for the usual briefcase with a contract for a guaranteed shot at the winner of the title. Rumors have run rampant that Cesaro would be in for a big push.

Now? Who knows.

Here's the list of who is in so far, with three more to come:

- Randy Orton
- Alberto Del Rio
- Sheamus
- Cesaro
