Just one night after the Money in the Bank pay-per-view (PPV) when John Cena won the WWE world heavyweight championship, it's been announced what the main event of the next PPV event, Battleground on Sun., July 20, 2014, in Tampa, Florida, will be.
A Fatal 4-Way for the title, with Cena putting his strap on the line against Roman Reigns, Randy Orton, and Kane.
The match was booked in the opening segment of tonight's episode of Monday Night Raw in Hartford. Cena was revealed as the cover athlete on the WWE 2K15 video game before popping off at the mouth in the face of The Authority, Triple H and Stephanie McMahon. That led the former to announce the match.
Randy Orton and Kane make sense but why put Reigns in when they don't want him to win? Wouldn't it be easier to simply have Orton pin Kane after taking out Cena?
Either way, there's your main event for the next show.
And, of course, we have to remember that Seth Rollins is looming large with his Money in the Bank briefcase.
