Fandango Challenge

Layla vs. Summer Rae

In reality, she may have been given the opportunity to go film a WWE Studios movie (The Marine 3, starring Mike "The Miz" Mizanin...coming soon to a Wal-Mart $5 bin near you!)...but in kayfabe land, she was breaking up with her boyfriend, Fandango.

He replaced her with Layla, herself back from a long absence.  Summer didn't like that.  This being pro wrestling, they will have a match.

The Road to Money in the Bank

First, came the tweets:

Then stuff like this started happening:

Which lead to more tweets...

The First Lady of NXT returned, having also been added to the cast of Total Divas in her absence, and things were looking good, until her obsession with Fandango and his new partner (and their love of taunting her) started to get the best of her in the ring:

Leave it right there and you've got a perfectly fine, if a little rote and male-centric, feud.

But of course, WWE couldn't leave it right there.  So we got a bunch of this:

Finally, Summer seemed to start to make a face turn, and apologized to her former partner, but kissed him, which Layla saw, and...OHMYGODICANTBELIEVEIHAVETOWRITEABOUTTHIS...so now they're going to have a match with Fandango as guest referee.

I'm sure everything will go swimmingly.

What's at Stake?

To my knowledge, Fandango has not agreed to be placed on a poll for this match, so I don't think ownership of him is on the line.  I don't even think he's agreed to date the winner exclusively.

So, they're probably fighting in hopes of not ending up covered in some combination of liquid and landscaping material?
