WWE NXT results, live open thread for June 26, 2014: Mr. Thursday Night

Here's a place to check results and comment along with the latest airing of WWE NXT in its regular Thursday night at 9PM Eastern time slot on WWE Network. We'll have our regular reactions post later, but we'll post match results here. More importantly, this gives you Cagesiders a dedicated place to rave and/or bitch about whatever goes down on the show dedicated to WWE's Florida-based developmental program - as it airs!

Last week, Natalya got her husband a tag title shot alongside Sami Zayn against The Ascension, and Tyson Kidd's slow burn heel turn got hotter when he walked out because Zayn didn't tag him in (never mind that Sami was taking a beating and never had a chance to).  The BFFs continued to meltdown, as a fight between Summer Rae and Charlotte allowed Alexa Bliss to sneak out a win over Sasha Banks - who then made it a three way fight between frenemies.  #1 contender to the NXT title, Tyler Breeze managed to slow down Kalisto to pick up a hard fought win, and The Vaudevillians (Aiden English and Simon Gotch) debuted to a packed house and rave reviews.

This week...Rob Van Dam gets "visiting main roster Superstar" duty, and will main event against the fighting champion, Adrian Neville.  It's unclear if the belt is on the line, but there's not much chance of RVD: NXT Champ, anyway, so the point is much more a dream match of a premier high-flier from the Attitude Era against one from the NXT Era.  A Big Cass promo from last week hinted at the return of Enzo Amore (houdoin), and while I avoid spoilers, I haven't been able to avoid rumors of a Celtic lass set to finally debut soon.  Will it be tonight?  Tune in and find out with us.
