When current WWE Divas Champion Paige first showed up on the main roster on the episode of Monday Night Raw the night after WrestleMania 30, she won the strap by pinning AJ Lee following the Paige Turner, a sort of swinging leg hook slam that she uses to earn pinfalls.
Not long after, she broke out a submission, an inverted sharpshooter double chickenwing that announcers simply called the a modified scorpion crosslock. It's an awesome move.
Look:
Eventually, we knew WWE would come up with a name for it and that name was first revealed when she beat Alicia Fox with the submission at last night's (Sun., June 1, 2014) Payback pay-per-view in Chicago, Illinois.
The Paige Tap Out, or PTO for short. (Editor's Note: It could be Please Tap Out, as that's what Tom Phillips referred to it as during her Superstars match taped before Monday Night Raw tonight (June 2) in Indianapolis.)
That name is the worst.
If you want, you can click here to look through the comments and see the many suggestions from you lovely Cagesiders, some of which were really bad -- The Bookmark -- and some of which were really good -- The Last Paige. In fairness, on that episode of Cageside Live, I came up with Paige Closer while Matt Roth came up with Paige Reader.
So maybe none of us have a clue after all.
