The People's Elbow Cageside Evaluation

The move is The People's Elbow and Cageside Seats readers have reported back on what they love and loathe about it. Here's the full evaluation.

WWE.com

What you loved:

  1. Over - The crowds don't get hyped, they stay hyped!
  2. Signature Move - It's a perfect mid-match or setup attack. Great to use if the crowd becomes quiet.
  3. Elbow Pad Toss - I would fight to the death for one of those things. Crowds love free stuff!
  4. Fits Persona - Rock is a cocky guy, and it's a perfect move to show-off.
  5. Slide - This.

Best comment comes via thewyharttfoundation:

"I just mark so damn hard for it. I love everything about it. I don't care that it's weak."

What you loathed:

  1. Ends Reign - CM Punk's 434-day title run came crashing down when Rock's elbow...came crashing down.
  2. Finisher - Many of you felt this move should not end matches, plain and simple.
  3. Weak Looking - It's just an elbow drop to the chest with some running the ropes.
  4. Long Execution - Could the opponent just get up at some point? Couldn't the ref do a 10-count to the downed opponent? Yes it's all about the theatrics, but the move does take awhile.

Best comment comes via Sandow's Superior:

"This move ended the 434 day title run. I hate it for that. At least the Five Knuckle Shuffle never ended anything big. Big fan of the Rock but this move ending a big title reign is just… no."

On to the poll! With 256 votes, The People's Elbow average score is 3. This is a polarizing move with a lot of 5 and 1 votes. For comparison, The Five-Knuckle Shuffle received a 2.4 last week.

Thanks, Cagesiders! Tomorrow's pick has one of the best finishers ever.

Until then!
