Rumor Roundup (June 16, 2014): Randy Savage DVD, Hall of Fame, Sting in WWE 2K15, Shield Feud, more!

Frank Micelotta

For many fans, reading about rumors -- and trawling the sites that traffic in them -- has become as popular as watching the matches themselves. In this daily column, we take a look at the biggest rumors and weirdest stories being churned out by those pro wrestling "news" sites.

Important reminders: Rumors are "rumors" and not "news" for a reason, folks. That which has not been confirmed as legitimate news or fact will be made clear.

Rumors of the Day:

  • A new Randy Savage DVD is apparently in the works, and it appears that his brother -- Leapin' Lanny Poffo/The Genius -- is involved in the production.
  • It's also being reported, by F4W's Bryan Alvarez, that Savage is the latest name added to the growing list of possible inductees for the 2015 WWE Hall of Fame class. That list is rumored to include The Rock, Kevin Nash, Rikishi and, apparently, either Mickie James or Victoria.
  • It's now looking more than ever that Sting will be the "pre-order bonus" for this year's WWE 2K15.The game is primarily being done by Visual Concepts and will feature updated commentary from Michael Cole and Jerry Lawler. Which presumably hasn't been done since The Jazz Singer.

  • Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins apparently tore the house down at a show in Ontario for a WWE live event, leading people to believe that the WWE will be announcing a match between the two of them at Money in the Bank PPV relatively soon.
  • Tyler Breeze, perhaps America's greatest living Canadian, is on the sidelines for the time being with a broken finger. We here at the Rumor Round-Up are planning a vigil until he gets better.

If you have heard of any interesting rumors that you'd like to add, feel free to post them in the comments section below. Just remember they are rumors and not confirmed as fact, so please take them as such.
