Payback 2014 results: Brie Bella quits WWE, slaps Stephanie McMahon; Daniel Bryan keeps title

Daniel Bryan had a decision to make at tonight's (Sun., June 1, 2014) Payback pay-per-view (PPV) at the Allstate Arena in Chicago, Illinois. As per Stephanie McMahon, part owner of the company, he was to give back the WWE world heavyweight title(s) or his wife, Brie Bella, would be fired.

The segment was incredible.

At one point while Stephanie and Bryan were talking, with Brie standing next to her husband, the fans chanted for CM Punk. Stephanie's response to this? "See? They want you to quit just like CM Punk did."

Pipe bomb!

Bryan helped Brie along in calling McMahon a "bitch" and the fans quickly got right back to chanting "YES". Stephanie paid it no mind, mostly, and continued goading Bryan to give up the belt(s). Then, Brie said "Daniel, we both know what needs to happen".

Stephanie took that to mean he would be handing the titles over.

Instead, Brie "refused to be a powerless victim", quit the company, then slapped Stephanie hard across the face.

Bryan keeps his title and this was one of the best segments of the year.
