The "main card", so to speak, of tonight's (Sun., June 1, 2014) WWE Payback pay-per-view (PPV) on the WWE Network at the Allstate Arena in Chicago, Illinois, kicked off with Sheamus attempting to defend his U.S. title against Paul Heyman's client who won the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal at WrestleMania 30, Cesaro.
After Heyman addressed the 800-pound pink elephant in the room, Sheamus and Cesaro went about having an awesome match, a veritable HOSS FIGHT between two powerful mastodons who went blow-for-blow for a good 15 minutes.
The finish saw Sheamus come incredibly close to losing his title but ultimately sneaking by with a roll up victory.
Cesaro, by the way, brought back the Giant Swing tonight, much to the delight of the "Windy City" faithful. It was that very swing that led into the roll up.
Sheamus is still your United States champion, Cagesiders. You mad?
