WWE NXT results, live open thread for May 8, 2014: Bracket Bliss

Here's a place to check results and comment along with the latest airing of WWE NXT in its regular Thursday night at 9PM Eastern time slot on WWE Network. We'll have our regular reactions post later, but we'll post match results here. More importantly, this gives you Cagesiders a dedicated place to rave and/or bitch about whatever goes down on one of the best shows WWE produces - as it airs!

Last week, the bracket for the tournament to determine who will follow Paige as the second ever NXT Women's championship was revealed.  In first round action, The Boss, Sasha Banks defeated Bayley and Natalya took out Layla.  Bo Dallas debuted a new theme and entrance video, but it didn't change his luck in the ring as he lost to Tyson Kidd, who is quickly earning a reputation as a force to be reckoned with in Developmental.  Adam Rose and Mojo Rawley both made quick work of guys now planning their future endeavors, and set up their next programs with Camacho and Aiden English, respectively.  And Adrian Neville hopefully finished off his feud with Brodus Clay when he beat the big man "slap-bang-dead" in a no disqualification match.

This week...the tournament continues, and we get our first look at Alexa Bliss as something other a Rosebud.  She'll face the foxy one, Alicia Fox, while a match that would make a great final happens in the last quarterfinal where Charlotte and Emma will square off.  This week's promo video on WWE.com focuses on setting up the next challenger for the NXT Champion.
