Video: Batista's Drax speaks in new Guardians of the Galaxy trailer

But not as much as the CGI tree and raccoon.

Yesterday, Marvel/Disney dropped the latest trailer for its big space epic Guardians of the Galaxy, starring WWE's Batista - billed here under his real name Dave Bautista. And for the first time, we get to see a little more of his Drax character than just a punch here or a little stylish knife play there.

Emphasis on "little". Drax shoots Chris Pratt's lead character, Peter Quill a confused/menacing look when he refers to the team as losers, and gets to say "to do what?" in response to his team building speech.

But that's okay, because the trailer is letting the Marvel name sell the movie to the converted masses and going for a quirky tone to convince those who've never heard of these characters to give this a shot even if they wouldn't give Captain America or Thor the time of day.

And it's really a no lose proposition for The Animal. If the movie hits, he's instantly part of a franchise alongside names like Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Bradley Cooper and Vin Diesel (the latter two as the voices of CGI scene stealers Rocket Raccoon and Groot, a sentient tree that never says anything more than "I am Groot" in various inflections - and who both have at least equal time and lines as Bautista in this trailer). If the movie flops...well, Marvel was trying something outside of their wheelhouse anyway, and nobody is going to blame it on the wrestler in make-up who plays the monotone psycho anti-hero.

Does this trailer do anything for you, Cagesiders? What do you think of the movie's chances - or Big Dave's shot at Hollywood stardom?
