Here's a place to check results and comment along with Ring of Honor (ROH)'s War of the Worlds internet pay-per-view (iPPV) - happening tonight, Saturday, May 17, 2014 in New York City.

War of the Worlds is the second of two major shows with New JapanPro Wrestling (NJPW) that ROH is producing this month; results from last Saturday's Global Wars show can be found here, and the broadcast is available for On Demand viewing.

  • Nigel McGuiness officially makes the IWGP Heavyweight title match a triple threat by adding Okada
  • Matt Taven, ACH & Tommaso Ciampa defeat The Forever Hooligans (Rocky Romero & Alex Kozlov) & Takaaki Watanabe via pinfall following a Climax from Taven to Watanabe
  • The Decade of BJ Whitmer & Roderick Strong defeat Gedo & Jado when Strong pings Jado following a Sick Kick; after the match Cedric Alexander returns and runs off The Decade
  • Jay Lethal retains his ROH Television Title with a pinfall victory over KUSHIDA following a Lethal Injection
  • Bullet Club of Karl Anderson & Gallows retain their IWGP Tag Team championship, defeating The Briscoes with a Magic Killer to Mark Briscoe
  • Shinsuke Nakamura defeats Kevin Steen following TWO Boma-Ye's; after the match, Steen cuts a promo saying he is taking time off from ROH.  He's interupted by Silas Young and the two brawl.


  • Hiroshi Tanahashi defeats Michael Bennett following the High Fly Flow
  • reDRagon (Bobby Fish & Kyle O'Reilly) defeat The Young Bucks to become THE NEW ROH Tag Team champions via submission when Mat Jackson tapped to a cross armbreaker from O'Reilly
  • Adam Cole retains the ROH World Title by submitting Jushin Liger with a Figure Four
  • AJ Styles defeats Michael Elgin and Kazuchika Okada to retain his IWGP Heavyweight Title after pinning Elgin following a Rainmaker by Okada; after the match Adam Cole attacked everyone and declared himself The Best in the World (coincidentally, the name of ROH's debut television PPV event next month)
