Here's a place to check results and comment along with the latest airing of WWE NXT in its regular Thursday night at 9PM Eastern time slot on WWE Network. We'll have our regular reactions post later, but we'll post match results here. More importantly, this gives you Cagesiders a dedicated place to rave and/or bitch about whatever goes down on the show dedicated to WWE's Florida-based developmental program produces - as it airs!
Last week, the women's tournament wrapped up its first round with newcomer Alexa Bliss upsetting former Divas champ (and current internet darling) Alicia Fox with a roll-up and Charlotte taking out Emma because Creative has her playing with socks more than wrestling these days. Adam Rose continued his first feud on NXT when one of his Rosebuds, Captain Comic, was defeated by Camacho. And the battle royal that was supposed to decide who would challenge Adrian Neville for the NXT title at Takeover ended in a photo finish. Rather than waste time looking at photographs, Triple H made a match between the last three men for tonight.
This week...that Triple Threat match is our main event, as Tyler Breeze, Tyson Kidd and Sami Zayn will battle it out for the right to face the champ on May 29th. That's all that's been officially announced, but we will likely also get at least one of the two women's semi-final match-ups...most likely Sasha Banks vs. Natalya. With any luck, we'll get another debut along the lines of Kalisto or Bliss from last week or something to establish one of the new tag teams, and probably the continuation of one of the mid-card feuds - either Aiden English and Mojo Rawley or Rose vs. Camacho.
