WWE MAIN EVENT RESULTS & LIVE BLOG MAY 13
- The show started with Renee Young and Paul Heyman already in the ring for an interview. Renee asked about Cesaro vs. Sheamus and Heyman just started talking about Brock Lesnar breaking the streak at WrestleMania. That brought out Sheamus. He said he was going to kick Heyman's head off. Heyman said he would be an animal to do it in front of a lady and Sheamus said he was right, so he asked Renee to leave. She did. Sheamus then counted to five. When he got to four, Heyman bailed out of the ring. Cesaro showed up and attacked from behind, laying Sheamus out with a Neutralizer. He was going to do the Giant Swing but Heyman waved it off and said he was saving it for later on for the main event match.
- Dolph Ziggler vs. Damien Sandow was next. They set this up by showing the clip of Ziggler and Hugh Jackman laying Sandow out on Raw a couple weeks ago. Sandow worked the same gimmick he did on Raw, saying he's handcuffed by WWE and they don't want him to speak. Assuming he actually has something to say, what would they be afraid of? He's a jobber with no heat. Sandow controlled most of the match before Ziggler hit a Zig Zag to get the pinfall.
- Emma was out next for a match. Her opponent? Alicia Fox. Alicia was given a microphone before the match and Emma looked scared. Fox said "I'm kind of surprised you showed up" and then threw the mic at Emma's head. They did the same angle as Raw with Alicia asking the ref about starting the match. Then it started and she worked Emma over, including picking her up after a backbreaker, walking her over to the ropes, and just dumping her outside the ring. Emma tried to hit her splash in the corner spot but Alicia put her boots up and into Emma's guts. After this, Alicia started screaming about people thinking she's underrated. Emma quickly rolled her up from behind and got the three count. Fox chased her off then came back and went crazy again. And when I say "went crazy again", I mean she beat up Tony Chimel, robbed the commentary team, then made Tom Phillips and Byron Saxton eat entire pieces of paper.
- Renee Young found Sheamus backstage and wondered if he was too hurt to compete in a match tonight with Cesaro. He said he would and it wouldn't be a match but a fight.
- Cesaro vs. Sheamus was next. They're giving them plenty of time to work with here. Absent blow-by-blow, I'll just say this was a really good match with a finish that seemed to play okay despite it being a double count out. They brawled so big, you could feasibly call this a hoss fight. You were left feeling like this isn't over and when they run it back it's going to be really fun. Post-match, Sheamus was being held back by referees and Cesaro used a chair while he had the advantage. Then, Sheamus hit the Brogue Kick to close the show.
End.
