Just last week, John Cena mentioned in a promo that he would be the "last man standing" in his ongoing feud with Bray Wyatt. During tonight's (May 12, 2014) episode of Monday Night Raw in Greenville, South Carolina, Wyatt cut a promo saying he likes the idea and he wants to put it to the test.
So it shall be: John Cena vs. Bray Wyatt part three will be a Last Man Standing match at the Payback pay-per-view (PPV) scheduled for Sun., June 1, 2014, at the Allstate Arena in Chicago, Illinois.
It should be noted that WWE did not officially announce the match on tonight's show, instead pushing the fact that Cena will appear on Friday Night SmackDown this week to respond to Wyatt's challenge. That's simply a formality.
He'll accept and it will become official then.
Here's the updated Payback match card and line-up:
- Evolution vs. The Shield
- John Cena vs. Bray Wyatt (Last Man Standing)
