Evolution vs. The Shield rematch booked for WWE Payback 2014 on June 1 in Chicago

Tonight's (May 12, 2014) episode of Monday Night Raw in Greenville, South Carolina, The Shield issued a challenge to Evolution for a rematch between the two teams at the upcoming Payback pay-per-view (PPV) scheduled for Sun., June 1, 2014, at the Allstate Arena in Chicago, Illinois.

The idea, of course, is not that they want revenge for the Extreme Rules match -- they won that -- but they want revenge for the beatdown Triple H, Batista, and Randy Orton laid on them to close last week's episode of Raw.

Good enough, right?

Evolution would later come out and Triple H himself laughed at the fact that The Shield wanted a rematch of a match they already won -- good heeling, no? -- and accepted the challenge to make the match official for the PPV early next month.

There have been rumors that it will be a Chicago Street Fight but that has yet to be announced. To be clear, that doesn't mean it won't be at some point in the coming weeks.
