Abdullah the Butcher's Cageside Evaluation

His name is Abdullah the Butcher and Cageside Seats readers have reported back on what they love and loathe about a career that spans over fifty years. Here's the full evaluation.

WWE.com

What you loved:

  1. Hardcore Style - He was hardcore before hardcore was cool.
  2. Genuinely Scary - He was terrifying, not just for how he wrestled but because look at that monster.
  3. Restaurant - Abdullah the Butcher’s House of Ribs and Chinese Food... I don't think anything else needs to be said.
  4. Fork - Never before has a fork, his go-to weapon in every match, looked so scary.
  5. Longevity - He debuted in 1958, and technically hasn't officially retired. Over 50 years in the wrestling business is incredible, especially considering his style.

Favorite comment comes via ReverendKain:

"THE FORK. Love the fork. I am completely incapable of holding a plastic fork without trying to drive it into my own forehead or the foreheads of others."

What you loathed:

  1. Hardcore Style - For all the supporters of this style, there are just as many detractors.
  2. Hepatitis C - He allegedly passed this on to other wrestlers by sharing blades or bleeding during matches. For someone who is known as a really good guy otherwise, this was very disturbing.
  3. In-Ring - Never known as a master technician inside the ring, his hardcore style took over as the main focus.
  4. Forehead - Could fit coins in his scars.

Favorite comment comes via StuckInAfghanistan:

"Loathe: He’s still alive right? I’m not saying anything then."

On to the poll. With 95 votes, Abdullah's average score is 3.3.

Thanks, Cagesiders! Tomorrow is recap day with updated poll scores and the best comments of the week.

Until then!
