In my prediction for the WrestleMania 30 main event of Randy Orton vs. Batista vs. Daniel Bryan or Triple H for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, I sensed that an Evolution reformation would be on the cards after Bryan overcame the odds and won the title.
This may have been mere guesswork on my part, but Dave Meltzer reported on his latest subscriber only radio show today that this may indeed be the big angle WWE shoot at the end of the pay-per-view to get people talking and be the new storyline direction for the post Mania season:
"The big thing that I'm hearing and I guess we'll find out tonight is that one of the closing things is or, I shouldn't even say that, there's gonna be something big in the main event that I guess they're keeping secret. What I do know or at least what I was told is that they want to go in a direction of The Shield versus Evolution so it could be something where everyone turns on Daniel Bryan at the end and The Shield makes the save to build that up, you know, for Extreme Rules."
Personally, I'd wait till Monday Night Raw, if they want to do an Evolution beat down of Daniel Bryan angle. There will be more eyeballs watching then and you don't want your biggest show of the year ending on a sour note.
What do you think, Cagesiders?
