WWE confirms Steve Austin will appear at WrestleMania 30

STONE COLD! STONE COLD! STONE COLD!

Not all that long ago, Stone Cold Steve Austin revealed on his podcast, The Steve Austin Show, that he would not travel all the way to New Orleans just to sit in the audience at the Hall of Fame ceremony. He said he would gladly head down if WWE had something interesting for him to do at WrestleMania 30 on April 6, 2014, at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome, but wouldn't go just to show up and watch the event.

He could do that with a much better seat over there on 3:16 Gimmick Street at the Broken Skull Ranch.

That's why it's intriguing to read that WWE has confirmed Austin will be making an appearance at the "Showcase of the Immortals" this weekend. That doesn't necessarily confirm Stone Cold will be involved in an angle but at the very least, the creative powers that be came up with something for him to do that interested him enough to make the trip.

With this being WrestleMania 30, it only makes sense for a call to be put in to do something special. The word going around is WWE has reached out to all of its biggest stars over the past 30 years in the hopes of getting as many of them on the show as possible.

The Rock is one of those expected to appear. So we could have the three biggest draws -- Hulk Hogan, Austin, and Rock -- over the past three decades all appearing on the same show.

Are you ready for WrestleMania, Cagesiders? Then gimme a hell yeah!
