Chris Jericho's Cageside Evaluation

His name is Chris Jericho and Cageside Seats readers have reported back on what they love and loathe about "Y2J". Here's the full evaluation.

WWE.com

What you loved:

  1. Mic Work - One of the finest talkers ever in wrestling. He can pull off being calm or pissed, funny or serious, a true talent.
  2. In-Ring - Some of you felt he was one of the best workers of his generation. It's really tough to pick if he's better in the ring or on the mic.
  3. Heel/Face - Some guys are great at one or the other, Jericho could do either really well. Remember his troll job? He came out a face, and left a heel, in the same segment!
  4. Evolving - Some guys can barely pull off one successful gimmick, Jericho has tweaked his so many times over the years. Going from a comedic gimmick in WCW to, at times, an extremely serious one in the WWE. Not to mention his shirt/jackets have evolved quite nicely.
  5. Armbar - I mean...ARMBAR!

My favorite comment goes to GiantStorm:

"Love:
1) Arm Drag
2) Armbar
3) The Moss Covered 3-Handled Family Credenza
4) Armbar
5) The Saskatchewan Spinning Nerve Hold"

What you loathed:

  1. Part-timer - He tugs at the strings of our hearts every time he comes and goes.
  2. Too Giving - In Y2J's recent comeback, you guys felt he put over too many people. I thought that's the proper role at this point in his career? I guess he's doing it to the point where he's loosing some credibility as a contender.
  3. Fozzy - It takes Jericho away from us!
  4. Short Hair - It's good to eventually chop the locks, but Jericho could have left them for a bit longer.
  5. The Walls of Jericho - This move is just nothing compared to The Liontamer.

My favorite comment goes to treble1313:

"Loathe: That I didn’t appreciate all the great work he was doing when I was a kid. I would get so angry with Jericho I would stop watching."

With 293 votes, Mr. Jericho's average score is 4.7. A score good enough to get him tied for 4th (with Shawn Michaels).

Thanks, Cagesiders! Tomorrow's pick could get dirty.

Until then!...ARMBAR!
