Bad News Barrett wins Intercontinental title tournament; will face Big E at Extreme Rules

Bad News Barrett has defeated Rob Van Dam in the finals of the Intercontinental title tournament to crown the next number one contender to Big E's championship, doing so on tonight's episode of Monday Night Raw from St. Louis.

That makes his match with Big E official for the Extreme Rules special event this Sun., May 4, 2014, at the IZOD Center in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

Barrett won the match against Van Dam thanks to interference from Cesaro under the guidance of Paul Heyman. Jack Swagger also got involved and it appeared as though WWE set up a triple threat match between the three for this weekend.

It wasn't announced, but expect it to be added to the show.

- Daniel Bryan vs. Kane
