The S3: Vote for Best Performer of the 2014-15 Season, Week 2

Join in a discussion with your fellow internet fans about the past week in pro wrestling: who entertained us the most, and why!

Everybody who comes to Cageside Seats has an opinion about what's going on in pro wrestling - The Smark's Shoot Standings (S3) are where YOU let us know YOURS.

Cast a vote in the comments. Give us the four performers you think entertained or impressed the most in the last week, and feel free to talk about why. And/or vote for your top performer in our poll.

We also have the outcome of last week's voting, the results of which make up our annual competition for Performer of the Year.

Remember, the Standings are for the previous week's nationally televised and internet streaming pro wrestling shows - notably the April 14th episode of WWE Monday Night Raw, Tuesday night's Main Event, the Thursday, April 17th edition of TNA Impact, WWE NXT and ROH TV, and the WWE SmackDown that aired on April 18th.

Make YOUR mark, smarks!

This tweet pretty much tells you everything you need to know about how the Voting went in the first week of our third season...

  • The defending champ won the poll portion of the Standings, but it wasn't enough to overcome a deluge of fan support for the mastermind behind the end of Undertaker's WrestleMania Streak and his newest Guy. What have you done for us lately, Mr. Bryan?
  • I'm sure we'd all be impressed with the new champ even if she wasn't a 21 year old, alabaster-skinning, raven-tressed hottie with a British accent, right?
  • It's a beard, it's a WWE impersonation - who cares? - it's the new TNA champ! It's Super Eric!
  • You believe in 2/3 of the babyface Hounds of Justice (and, to be fair, the most babyface-iest of the bunch just missed the cut in a very busy week of voting that saw many point totals that would have notmally finished in the top ten get left out in the cold).
  • AJ and Bray don't need wins to keep smarks in their corner.
  • What cereal smells like awesome? Because that's the one Fandango smells like.

The S3: 2014-15, Week 1

1. Paul Heyman
2. Cesaro

3. Daniel Bryan
4. Paige
5. Eric Young

6. Dean Ambrose
7. Roman Reigns

8. AJ Lee
9. Bray Wyatt
10. Fandango

Points in our weekly Standings determine our annual list - full details on rules and scoring HERE.

It's that magical time of the year when our Annual Standings look exactly the same as last week's. Next week, we'll really see the race start to take shape.

Last week's happenings can be found in the pertinent Cageside Seats' section for each show. Raw, Main Event, NXT, Smackdown, and Impact...Ring of Honor coverage isn't our strong suit, but we're working on it.

Whatever shows you follow, and however you follow them, cast your vote and tell your friends. Then be back here next week to see the results and do it again!
