Evolution vs. The Shield set for WWE Extreme Rules 2014

Those of you who read the spoilers for this coming Friday night's episode of SmackDown were made aware of a major spoiler for the Extreme Rules event scheduled for Sun., May 4, 2014, at the IZOD Center in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

They will, in fact, be doing the Evolution vs. The Shield match.

When The Shield turned babyface by going against Corporate Kane's orders, it was only a matter of time before they ran afoul of the rest of The Authority. Sure enough, Roman Reigns speared Triple H on Monday Night Raw last week before Evolution officially reformed on Raw this week.

On SmackDown, Triple H cuts a promo saying The Shield are strong but Evolution will put them down.

- John Cena vs. Bray Wyatt (Steel cage)
- Big E vs. Tournament Winner (Intercontinental championship)
