The WWE Elimination Chamber pay-per-view (PPV) tonight (Sun., Feb. 23, 2014) at the Target Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota, kicked off with Big E attempting to defend his Intercontinental championship title against Jack Swagger, who was rushed into challenging for it.
That's exactly what the artist formerly known as "Langston" did.
The match was about what you would expect. A lot of power moves from two guys billed as powerhouses. About halfway through, Swagger's mouth was shown and he was bleeding.
The fans responded with a "We the people" chant.
The highlight of the match was Big E hitting a spear through the ropes after a failed counter of the Swagger Bomb into the Big Ending. They battled back and forth after that, with the finish coming by way of Big E reversing the Patriot Act into an enziguri that he used to snag the Big Ending for the pinfall.
