Rumor Roundup (Dec. 6, 2014): Sting WWE contract, Dean Ambrose injury, Royal Rumble 2015, more!

Speculating on the rumors surrounding pro wrestling is a favored pastime of many fans, perhaps second only to actually watching the matches. In this daily column, we take a look at the latest rumors being churned out by the pro wrestling rumor mill.

Important reminder: Rumors are just that -- rumors. None of this has been confirmed as legitimate news or fact, it's just circulating around the pro wrestling rumor mill. Remember, take it all with a grain of salt.

Rumors for the Day:

  • There's a report making the rounds that Busted Open Radio recently revealed that Sting's contract with WWE calls for just six dates and Survivor Series, his debut, was the first in that deal. If nothing else, Vince McMahon himself did say he'll be used sparingly and it's almost certain he's working WrestleMania 31.
  • WWE ran an injury angle with Dean Ambrose on SmackDown this week but it is all storyline, he's not actually hurt, and there are no plans to write him off shows.
  • PW Insider reported WWE has filmed scenes for its Royal Rumble 2015 commercial and that it will feature wrestlers in a psychiatrist's office on the couch like patients.
  • Not sure about this one but there's apparently some talk of Sami Zayn in the Royal Rumble as a special entrant as his call up to the main roster, something like they did with Bo Dallas. If they do it, hopefully it goes much better than it did for Bo.
  • TNA is expected to unveil its new logo within the next couple weeks.

If you have heard of any interesting rumors that you'd like to add, feel free to post them in the comments section below. Just remember they are rumors and not confirmed as fact, so please take them as such. Have fun with it.
