Speculating on the rumors surrounding pro wrestling is a favored pastime of many fans, perhaps second only to actually watching the matches. In this daily column, we take a look at the latest rumors being churned out by the pro wrestling rumor mill.

Important reminder: Rumors are just that -- rumors. None of this has been confirmed as legitimate news or fact, it's just circulating around the pro wrestling rumor mill. Remember, take it all with a grain of salt.

Rumors for the Day:

  • It looks like both the UFC and Bellator are interested in making a play for CM Punk if it turns out he's serious about an MMA fight. He's been training extensively with the Gracie family and, for anyone who saw him on Talking Dead recently, looks like he's in as good of shape as he has been in some time.
  • According to the Observer, there also appears to be some interest in Alberto Del Rio returning to MMA at some point in the future.
  • No big surprise here but the word going around is that a lot of the wrestlers weren't happy with Vince McMahon's comments about them on Steve Austin's podcast on the WWE Network.
  • Expect WWE to add Rusev vs. Swagger and AJ Lee vs. Nikki Bella to the TLC card within the next few days but Monday at the latest.
  • WWE trademarked "Big Red" recently, and that's why they were pushing it so hard for Erick Rowan.

If you have heard of any interesting rumors that you'd like to add, feel free to post them in the comments section below. Just remember they are rumors and not confirmed as fact, so please take them as such. Have fun with it.
