You could just tell that Steve Austin had more questions than he had the time to ask when he interviewed Vince McMahon on WWE Network last night (December 1, 2014).
While he did cover CM Punk and touched on his own split with the company in 2002, he never got around to asking about Daniel Bryan like he planned or responding to Hulk Hogan trying to start a feud with him.
He did at least manage to sneak in a question about the man who debuted in WWE at Survivor Series last month, and who had never appeared in kayfabe for the company until that November night...the man called Sting.
Austin was a big fan of his appearance in St. Louis, as he said in his interview with Rolling Stone earlier this week, and McMahon agreed with Stone Cold's review. He also seems to be on the same page as Geno Mrosko and myself that his gimmick should remain the special attraction it was in WCW as opposed to the "just a facepainted dude in catering" approach TNA took for much of his time there:
Well, he made a hell of an impression his first time in. His character is one in which you don't need to see a lot of because you become accustomed to it. I think you will see some of Sting and I wouldn't be surprised if he shows up at WrestleMania.
You can't tell from the printed quote, but the WrestleMania mention was done with an inflection that indicated Vince was telling us to plan on seeing the Stinger in Santa Clara. Even if it's unclear if that will be his only match in the company, and who it will be against, with rumors that he'll also be inducted into the Hall of Fame the night before, it seems like a safe bet that the crow will fly in Levi's Stadium.
Excited, Cagesiders?
