Like a House Afire (ep. 18): CM Punk and WWE go to smark arbitration

Welcome to the not-at-all-regularly scheduled 18th episode of Like a House Afire, a frequent video-cast that runs down some hot topics in the world of pro wrestling with opinion and analysis from yours truly.

One of the biggest new stories in pro wrestling history got another big boost this week when CM Punk told his side of what lead to him walking out of WWE after the 2014 Royal Rumble. What to believe? With whom do we side? Does it matter? As fans of Punk, WWE and/or pro wrestling in general, how do process the latest voice in a chorus of them reminding us taking bumps and working a WWE schedule is not conducive to good health?

I wrestle (pun intended) with all of thos questions, and struggle to come up with answers. See what kind of decisions I come to, and what kind of knots I tie myself up in getting there, in the latest Like a House Afire.

Here's some background on the buzz that drove this episode:

The Art of Wrestling with Punk is released

Geno Mrosko's transcription of the whole show

WWE's response to his claims of poor medical treatment

Keith Harris' analysis of Punk's claims and the WWE Wellness Program

The storystream of the whole affair going back to the day after the Rumble
