The first match on the main pay-per-view portion of tonight's WWE Survivor Series card at the Scottrade Center in St. Louis, Missouri featured Gold & Stardust putting their tag team championship titles on the line against Los Matadores, The Usos, and The Miz & Damien Mizdow in a Fatal 4-Way.
And NEW champions, Miz & Mizdow.
The crowd was into the proceedings well enough but it was clear from the outset that Mizdow was, once again, the star of the match. The audience chanted "we want Mizdow" and the heels used it to get heat on themselves. Eventually, Miz tagged him in and let himself get caught up in the adoration for it.
Naturally, Goldust tagged himself in before Mizdow could execute a single maneuver, as per the Fatal 4-Way rules.
Really, the story throughout most of the match was just how over Mizdow was in comparison to everyone else in or around the ring and how everyone else so thoroughly hated as much.
Eventually, as is usually the case, the action broke down. In the end, WWE paid off the crowd's affection for Mizdow by having him tag in on Miz's back to take advantage of an Uso splash to get the pin to win the titles.
Awesome.
