Speculating on the rumors surrounding pro wrestling is a favored pastime of many fans, perhaps second only to actually watching the matches. In this daily column, we take a look at the latest rumors being churned out by the pro wrestling rumor mill.

Important reminder: Rumors are just that -- rumors. None of this has been confirmed as legitimate news or fact, it's just circulating around the pro wrestling rumor mill. Remember, take it all with a grain of salt.

Rumors for the Day:

  • Here's a fun rumor that almost certainly isn't true: Stone Cold Steve Austin is a candidate for Raw General Manager assuming WWE goes ahead with taking The Authority out of power.
  • Regarding Sheamus, it would appear as though the injury he suffered in storyline was, in fact, kayfabe, but there is some sort of issue he needed to clear up so they wrote him off television. There's no word on what exactly is wrong with him, however, or how long he'll be out.
  • It's looking more like January for Bad News Barrett's return to actual wrestling, assuming they aren't setting up for a surprise. He'll likely talk about his timetable on the Survivor Series Kickoff show this weekend.
  • Santino Marella is apparently returning to WWE next Monday on Raw alongside Larry the Cable Guy to help promote Jingle All the Way 2.
  • According to the Wrestling Observer, Mark Henry was appearing in WrestleMania 31 ads because WWE wanted to "make sure someone of his race" was in it.

If you have heard of any interesting rumors that you'd like to add, feel free to post them in the comments section below. Just remember they are rumors and not confirmed as fact, so please take them as such. Have fun with it.
