Speculating on the rumors surrounding pro wrestling is a favored pastime of many fans, perhaps second only to actually watching the matches. In this daily column, we take a look at the latest rumors being churned out by the pro wrestling rumor mill.

Important reminder: Rumors are just that -- rumors. None of this has been confirmed as legitimate news or fact, it's just circulating around the pro wrestling rumor mill. Remember, take it all with a grain of salt.

Rumors for the Day:

  • Word making the rounds is Alberto Del Rio has been telling people he will work for both Lucha Underground and TNA in 2015, so those are the two contracts he'll be signing that he spoke of recently.
  • Not surprisingly, the word is that Sheamus is not actually injured and it was simply WWE writing him out of the Survivor Series match. What's more, it appears there aren't any plans to use him at the show right now, though that could change, of course.
  • There's been some speculation that Maryse will return to WWE in the future, apparently fueled, at least in part, by Miz making mention of it on social media. She played coy about it, for whatever that's worth.
  • Apparently WWE is planning on a feature length DVD on The Shield, which will come out sometime next year.
  • Today is supposed to be the day TNA announces its new television deal, apparently with Destination America. Tonight's episode of Impact on Spike TV will be the last airing on the channel.

If you have heard of any interesting rumors that you'd like to add, feel free to post them in the comments section below. Just remember they are rumors and not confirmed as fact, so please take them as such. Have fun with it.
