Total Divas ratings up for mid-season finale, Eva Marie wedding

The mid-season finale of Total Divas aired this past Sunday night on the E! channel on an evening that was overrun with tough competition from competing programs. Not only was the show up against WWE Hell in a Cell, but it also ran up against The Walking Dead, the World Series, and Sunday Night Football.

Despite all that, the episode drew an average of 1.13 million viewers and a 0.5 rating in the coveted 18-49 demographic.

That's a good number, all things considered, and the highest viewership total for the show since Sept. 21. The reason? Weddings are a proven draw, even when the wedding was a sham ceremony for Eva Marie and her husband Jonathan, who were already married.

Whatever works. Here's how the numbers look so far this season:

Episode one: 1.2 million
Episode two: 974,000
Episode three: 1.18 million
Episode four: 999,000
Episode five: 1.06 million
Episode six: 882,000
Episode seven: 975,000
Episode eight: 826,00
Episode nine: 860,000
Episode 10: 1.13 million

Total Divas returns with new episodes on Jan. 4, 2015, with new cast members Alicia Fox and Paige.
