Rumor Roundup (Oct. 23, 2014): Brock Lesnar return, Randy Orton babyface turn, Dean Ambrose finisher, more!

Speculating on the rumors surrounding pro wrestling is a favored pastime of many fans, perhaps second only to actually watching the matches. In this daily column, we take a look at the latest rumors being churned out by the pro wrestling rumor mill.

Important reminder: Rumors are just that -- rumors. None of this has been confirmed as legitimate news or fact, it's just circulating around the pro wrestling rumor mill. Remember, take it all with a grain of salt.

Rumors for the Day:

  • Brock Lesnar is not currently scheduled to do any shows other than the Slammy Awards on the Dec. 8 episode of Monday Night Raw. That's the go home show to TLC and while there was some thought he would work that event instead of Royal Rumble, it appears the idea is still to build to his next title defense coming at the Rumble.
  • It is thought, however, that if the subscriber numbers announcement on Oct. 30 goes poorly and there is wild overreaction to a possibly bad number, WWE could look to use him at Survivor Series.
  • Plans to turn Randy Orton babyface have been accelerated and a possible reason for that, according to the Observer, may be due to Dean Ambrose drawing poorly as the number one babyface on house shows he's headlined. It's also possible WWE wants to take advantage of the RKO Vines hitting the mainstream, but that may have died out already.
  • AAA is pushing hard to bring Rey Mysterio in, even though his WWE contract doesn't come up until April of next year. Even then, there is the possibility that WWE could extend it again for the same reason they did this past time. Either way, it looks certain Mysterio will sign with AAA once WWE lets him go.
  • The plan is for Dean Ambrose to use the Double Arm DDT as his new finisher and it will still be called Dirty Deeds.

If you have heard of any interesting rumors that you'd like to add, feel free to post them in the comments section below. Just remember they are rumors and not confirmed as fact, so please take them as such. Have fun with it.
