The next pay-per-view (PPV) on the WWE schedule is the Hell in a Cell event set to take place on Sun., Oct. 26, 2014, at the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas. Although the theme of this one is to have nearly every match inside the Hell in a Cell structure, that's been scaled back to just the main event this year.
We think.
We're just two weeks out from showtime and only two matches on the card are official.
- Dean Ambrose vs. John Cena
On SmackDown this past week it was announced that this match will be "No Holds Barred Contract on a Pole", which feels like a good way to ensure neither has to take a pinfall. It's been rumored that the loser will take on Randy Orton but nothing is official in that regard.
- Seth Rollins vs. TBA
Rollins will get the winner of the Ambrose vs. Cena opener in a Hell in a Cell match in the main event.
- Rusev vs. Big Show*
They've been put together on television and are now feuding over the fact that Big Show disrespected the Russian flag. A match between the two is set for Raw tomorrow night but they'll likely still be put together for this show.
- AJ Lee vs. Paige*
Because there is some weird rumored rule that Vince McMahon refuses to allow any of the women on Total Divas to win the Divas title, these two are doomed to feud with each other passing the belt back and forth until that show is finally cancelled.
- Dolph Ziggler vs. Cesaro*
It's been the direction on television, so expect Cesaro to challenge for the Intercontinental championship.
There was also a brief rumor of a Brie vs. Nikki Bella Hell in a Cell match but there's been nothing new on that front recently.
Thoughts?
