The S3: Vote for Best Performer of the 2014-15 Season, Week 27

Join in a discussion with your fellow internet fans about the past week in pro wrestling: who entertained us the most, and why!

Everybody who comes to Cageside Seats has an opinion about what's going on in pro wrestling - The Smark's Shoot Standings (S3) are where YOU let us know YOURS.

Cast a vote in the comments. Give us the four performers you think entertained or impressed the most in the last week, and feel free to talk about why. And/or vote for your top performer in our poll.

We also have the outcome of last week's voting, the results of which make up our annual competition for Performer of the Year.

Remember, the Standings are for the previous week's nationally televised and internet streaming pro wrestling shows - the October 6th episode of WWE Monday Night Raw, Tuesday night's Main Event, the Wednesday, October 8th edition of TNA Impact, Thursday's WWE NXTROH TV, and the WWE SmackDown that aired on Friday, October 10th.

Make YOUR mark, smarks!

The problem with this whole "Dean Ambrose wins in a landslide every week he's on TV" thing is, the man has a pretty limited online presence.  Even the fan sites and tumblrs are either pics of The Shield or things that say "Stay Calm and Marry Dean Ambrose" on them.  Not that there's anything wrong with that...

...but I'm going to use this opportunity to plug Jon David Guerra's always awesome Nightmare Pro Wrestling.

  • NXT-loving smarks took his apparent farewell from Thursday nights to tip their caps to Natty's husband, who almost gave the Lunatic Fringe a run for his money.  Despite not being eligible for the poll, the WWE Network show also placed its Women's champ in a tie with the Divas champ for the last spot in our weekly Standings.
  • The new Knockouts champ also featured in a nice week for the ladies, but not a great week for TNA, as their lone representative.
  • The principal owner of WWE joined that trio, getting just a little more credit than Paul Heyman for difusing the Chicago crowd (which is fair, since she did the heavy lifting in that segment).
  • The Intercontinental champ and transcontinental Superstar got more credit than the owner of the Moneymaker or his stunt double for their match of the week candidate triple threat bout that followed Steph and the Advocate in Second City.
  • He can stab us in the back and travel with a personal massager electric razor, but he still gets votes.
