Speculating on the rumors surrounding pro wrestling is a favored pastime of many fans, perhaps second only to actually watching the matches. In this daily column, we take a look at the latest rumors being churned out by the pro wrestling rumor mill.
Important reminder: Rumors are just that -- rumors. None of this has been confirmed as legitimate news or fact, it's just circulating around the pro wrestling rumor mill. Remember, take it all with a grain of salt.
Rumors for the Day:
- PW Insider got in on the "CM Punk to TNA" story and reported that after asking "several high level TNA sources" about it they were told no one ever made Punk an offer and there's no truth to the rumors out there.
- It's at least possible that Hulk Hogan attempts to get cleared physically to work one more match at WrestleMania 31, an official retirement match. John Cena would be the obvious choice to work with him, considering box office and how safe Cena wrestles.
- Randy Orton is apparently now working a reduced house show schedule.
- Regarding Chris Jericho's pending return in November, the thought is he will make a couple television appearances but there aren't any plans for him into the new year.
- WWE won't return to Los Angeles for SummerSlam next year, instead hosting the show in New Jersey, but it is expected that the company will run another big PPV in the city next year.
