WWE SUMMERSLAM LIVE BLOG & MATCH COVERAGE

Rex here. Let's mark out with our snark out.

Miz starting off things for the broadcast but he is quickly interrupted by Fandango and Summer Rae dancing around.

Miz isn't too pleased so he cuts to an awesome Robert Rodriguez type video package for Summerslam.

After the video, Jo-Jo sings the national anthem.

Ring of Fire Match:  Bray Wyatt vs Kane

In a pretty underwhelming match, Wyatt defeated Kane by pinfall after hitting Sister Abigail.  The main theme throughout the match was the Family trying to get past the apparently sentient flames.  They were finally able to use the ring drape to cross the flames and beat up on Kane.

Post-match, the Family created an altar out of the ring steps before Wyatt in his rocking chair.  The bashed Kane in the head with the other steps and dragged him off.

Cody Rhodes vs Damien Sandow

In a very solid back and forth match, Cody Rhodes earned victory over the Intellectual Savior via pinfall after hitting the Cross Rhodes.  The crowd was hot for both men as they put on a show.  Only disappoint was that Rhodes could have hit a Kiniku Muscle Buster but hit a body drop from the position.

World Heavyweight Championship Match: Alberto Del Rio(c) vs Christian

In a match that got started off slow but finished real well, Alberto Del Rio forced Christian to tap to the arm bar.  After the match he cut a promo about himself being a hero for the Latino community.

Natalya vs Brie Bella

In a bad match, Natalya gets the victory over Brie with a Sharpshooter.

We get a backstage segment with Ryback getting upset at catering over gazpacho.  It was way more amusing to me than it should have been.

No Disqualification Match: Brock Lesnar vs CM Punk

In an absolutely fantastic match, Lesnar earned victory by pinfall after hitting .  This match was fantastic from start to end as both Punk and Lesnar laid it all on the line.  I could go on all night listing the amount of fantastic spots in this match like Lesnar ragdolling Punk onto the announce tables, Lesnar using a chair on the outside to nail Punk mid air, a great series of BJJ inspired chain wrestling, and Punk reversing a F5 into a DDT.

Punk seemed to be on his way to victory but interference from Heyman turned the tide in Lesnar's favor.

Big E and AJ vs Dolph Ziggler and Kaitlyn

In an up and down match, Ziggler and Kaitlyn won via Zig Zag.  Big E and Ziggler were solid but the parts of the match involving AJ and Kaitlyn were just painful.

DANIEL BRYAN WINS CLEAN WITH A PINFALL OVER JOHN CENA VIA A RUNNING KNEE!

DANIEL BRYAN IS WWE CHAMPION! YES! YES! YES!

NO POST MATCH SHENANIGANS!

Daniel Bryan celebrating with HHH.

Holy Shit there is going to be shenanigans.

Orton is down to the ring and HHH hits the Pedigree on Bryan!
