WWE

Raw (July 22nd)

  • The show started off with a contract signing for the WWE Championship match at SummerSlam. Brad Maddox brought up all of Vince McMahon's criticisms of Daniel Bryan, but John Cena responded by putting over his chosen challenger big. Maddox wouldn't let Bryan have a word in edge ways and booked him in multiple matches for later on in the show when he finally complained about the GM trying to take this moment away from him. Cena and Bryan then signed the contract.
  • Alberto Del Rio pinned Sheamus with a rollup when Sheamus's injured leg gave out on him when he attempted to hit the White Noise on Del Rio.
  • Booker T and Teddy Long squabbled about Vickie Guerrero being made the GM of Smackdown.
  • Christian pinned Titus O'Neill with the Killswitch.
  • Ryback did a backstage interview saying that he hated average and preferred the rules of the jungle.
  • Mark Henry cut an in ring promo saying that he was ready for round two with The Shield, who answered the challenge and beat him down again until The Usos made the save and helped Henry clear the ring of the heels.
  • Daniel Bryan told John Cena that he had better not interfere in his matches tonight.
  • Dolph Ziggler pinned Darren Young with the Zig Zag. After the match, Big E Langston hit the ring to try and beat down Ziggler, but Ziggler used his speed and agility to escape unharmed.
  • A MizTV segment previewed the new Total Divas reality show and The Miz got Jerry "The King" Lawler to introduce himself to the women. Eva Marie didn't like the way that Lawler was looking at her and slapped him one, whilst Brie Bella's nipple slipped out of her dress.
  • Triple H and Stephanie McMahon, one after the other, tried to get Brad Maddox to stop listening to Vince McMahon and see things from their perspective instead.
  • Cody Rhodes pinned Fandango with the Cross Rhodes after Damien Sandow's briefcase wielding interference backfired.
  • CM Punk challenged Brock Lesnar to a match at SummerSlam, which Paul Heyman accepted on his client's behalf.
  • Rob Van Dam pinned Wade Barrett with the Five Star Frog Splash.
  • Daniel Bryan submitted Jack Swagger with the Yes Lock.
  • Daniel Bryan pinned Antonio Cesaro with a small package.
  • Daniel Bryan defeated Ryback by disqualification when Ryback powerbombed Bryan through a table. After the match, Cena made the save and challenged Ryback to a tables match on the next edition of Raw.
  • The show closed with Vince McMahon manipulating Brad Maddox into booking Daniel Bryan vs. Kane for that show too.

NXT (July 24th)

  • Paige pinned Emma with the Paige Turner to become the first NXT Women's Champion. Triple H congratulated Paige after the match.
  • Zeb Colter and Antonio Cesaro announced they did a background check on Sami Zayn and it came up empty and declared their belief that he's an illegal alien who used to work under a mask.
  • Tyler Breeze squashed Angelo Dawkins with a two legged spinning heel kick.
  • The Ascension (Conor O'Brian & Rick Victor) squashed Aiden English & Mickey Keegan when Victor pinned English after a double team leg sweep, flying elbow smash move.
  • Sheamus pinned Luke Harper with the Brogue Kick. After the match, Bray Wyatt was seen laughing from his rocking chair and pulled his partner away from the ring whilst Sheamus gave Wyatt a mocking golf clap.

Main Event (July 24th)

  • Sheamus pinned Jack Swagger with the Brogue Kick.
  • Sin Cara pinned Drew McIntyre with a leg scissor DDT.
  • Damien Sandow pinned Justin Gabriel with a full nelson slam.

Superstars (July 25th)

  • The Usos defeated 3MB's Drew McIntyre & Jinder Mahal when Jimmy Uso pinned Mahal with the Superfly Splash.
  • Layla pinned Alicia Fox with a roundhouse kick to the head.

Smackdown (July 26th)

  • In a battle of the briefcase holders, Randy Orton pinned Damien Sandow with the RKO when Sandow was distracted by Cody Rhodes stealing his Money In The Bank briefcase.
  • CM Punk claimed that Brock Lesnar's biggest weak spot is the fact that he trusts Paul Heyman and that very fact will be his downfall. Eventually Punk was interrupted by Fandango, but Punk clubbed him with the microphone and laid him out with the GTS.
  • Mark Henry & The Usos defeated Wade Barrett & Prime Time Players when Henry pinned Titus O'Neill with the World’s Strongest Slam.
  • Alberto Del Rio lobbied Vickie Guerrero to let him pick his SummerSlam opponent like Brad Maddox allowed John Cena to do. Rob Van Dam then entered the scene to say it should be him, but Del Rio wanted him to prove himself first leading to a match between the two later on in the night.
  • Damien Sandow was shown desperately trying to find Cody Rhodes backstage, who had stolen his briefcase earlier.
  • Alberto Del Rio pinned Rob Van Dam with a kick to the head when Del Rio feigned a rib injury and RVD was distracted by the referee holding him back.
  • Mark Henry and Booker T told Damien Sandow that they didn't know where Cody Rhodes was.
  • AJ Lee professed that although she had her heart stomped on into oblivion by Dolph Ziggler that she was fine as she still had the WWE Divas title and had decided against burning Ziggler's home to the ground with the access that her spare set of keys that she still had granted her. Thankfully, Ziggler revealed that he's had his locks changed since they broke up. AJ though had a suitcase with some of his possessions, cut up his driver's licence, passport and credit cards and ripped up all his cash. Finally, Kaitlyn came out and hit the spear on AJ. Big E Langston went after Kaitlyn, but Ziggler saved her by hitting the Famouser on Big E.
  • The Wyatt Family (Luke Harper and Erick Rowan) squashed Tons of Funk when Rowan pinned Sweet T with a splash. After the match, Bray Wyatt hit the Sister Abigail on Tensai and called out Kane.
  • Vickie Guerrero told Damien Sandow that she had alerted the authorities about the theft of his briefcase by Cody Rhodes and she would handle the situation, but Sandow said he'd take care of it himself seeing as everyone else is so incompetent.
  • Christian pinned Jack Swagger with the Killswitch.
  • Whilst Damien Sandow was ranting and raving in the ring, Cody Rhodes was shown over the Titantron to be in front of the Gulf of Mexico and told Sandow to come get his briefcase. Of course, Rhodes threw the briefcase into the water when Sandow finally got there. Despite not being able to swim, Sandow tried getting the case back, but had to quickly return to land without it before he drowned.

TNA

Impact Wrestling (July 25th)

  • The Main Event Mafia put over their ongoing war with Aces & 8s and Chris Sabin winning the TNA World Heavyweight title last week, and introduced him out to start the show. Sabin challenged the winner of the Ultimate X match later in the night for a champion vs. champion match. However, Bully Ray came out with his attorney to demand the belt be given back to him as Sabin used a hammer last week in order to defeat him.
  • An unmasked Manik revealed that he had once made his family homeless just to be selfish and chase his dream of being a big time wrestler. Wow, what a hero! That dream won't come true working for TNA either.
  • In an Ultimate X match, Manik defeated Sonjay Dutt and the former Trent Baretta to become the new TNA X-Division champion.
  • Bully Ray told Mr. Anderson to "do what you do best: get the job done" and win the Bound for Glory Series.
  • In a Bound for Glory Series match, Mr. Anderson pinned Hernandez with the Mic Check.
  • Eric Young claimed he was a scientist and would help Joe Park get to the bottom of his blackouts where he turns into Abyss.
  • Velvet Sky admitted she made a mistake by letting Mickie James know she was injured, but that she would never make a mistake like that again.
  • In a TNA Knockouts Championship match, Mickie James pinned Gail Kim with a rollup after Kim got in referee ODB's face and ODB slapped her. After the match, Brooke Hogan fired ODB as a referee, but rehired her as a wrestler to face Kim at a future date.
  • Hulk Hogan and Dixie Carter were shown backstage together discussing Bully Ray's ultimatum. Hogan didn't want to back down from Ray again, but Dixie made it sound like their hands were forced to do so. Well, she can't afford to pay any legal fees nowadays, can she?
  • In a Bound for Glory Series match, Christopher Daniels pinned Samoa Joe with two BMEs after Mr. Anderson distracted Joe.
  • Sting and Kurt Angle were concerned about the legal situation too.
  • In a Bound for Glory Series match, AJ Styles submitted Jeff Hardy with the Calf Killer submission. After the match, Hardy offered a hand to Styles, but Styles simply walked right past him.
  • Bully Ray complained about Chris Sabin's hammer attack last week and said that Sabin has no choice, as he'll sue Sabin and everyone in the company if he doesn't give him the TNA World Heavyweight title back. Sabin came out to tell Ray what a big, fat crybaby he had become and the only way he'd get the title is if he pried it away from his dead hands. Hulk Hogan then ripped up Ray's lawsuit, but booked a steel cage rematch between the two for the title at Hardcore Justice on August 15th.
