Raw (July 15th)

  • In a segment with John Cena, Brad Maddox announced that he was going to let the WWE champ decide his opponent for SummerSlam. Randy Orton then came out to say that he wasn't cashing his Money In The Bank briefcase in tonight and won't be making the same mistake Cena did last year. Fandango interrupted Orton and claimed that Orton would be cashing in against him. They brawled briefly leading to Orton making an immediate match between the two.
  • Randy Orton pinned Fandango with the RKO.
  • Dolph Ziggler broke up with AJ Lee.
  • Mark Henry did a promo talking about his hard fought match with John Cena at Money In The Bank. The Shield attacked him and eventually took him out with the triple powerbomb.
  • In a non-title match, Alberto Del Rio pinned Dolph Ziggler with a superkick when Ziggler was distracted by AJ Lee ringing the timekeeper's bell at a particularly inopportune moment. After the bout, AJ slapped Ziggler and Big E Langston knocked him out cold with the Big Ending.
  • Luke Harper and Eric Rowan beat down R-Truth while Bray Wyatt watched on. Wyatt then talked about the false nature of heroes and how those who made us betray us, but that he would never betray us. Truth recovered and went to attack Wyatt, but he fell into a brief hypnotic trance, allowing the cult to lay him out. Wyatt closed the segment by saying: "You are not the truth we seek. Kane, seek the buzzards."
  • The Usos pinned The Real Americans (Antonio Cesaro & Jack Swagger) when Jey Uso pinned Cesaro with a rollup.
  • Christian pinned Damien Sandow with a rollup. After the match, Cody Rhodes attacked Sandow until the referees broke it up and Sandow escaped through the crowd.
  • Naomi pinned Brie Bella with a top rope crossbody.
  • Paul Heyman and CM Punk duelled on the microphone until Heyman brought out his client Brock Lesnar. With Punk distracted by Brock, Heyman attacked Punk from behind, leaving him a sitting duck for an assault by Lesnar culminating with an F-5 onto the announcer's table.
  • Triple H told Brad Maddox that he was taking a big gamble letting Cena pick whomever he wanted to face at SummerSlam, as if Cena picks who I think he’s going to pick, then Vince McMahon won’t be very happy.
  • Rob Van Dam pinned Chris Jericho with the frog splash.
  • John Cena eventually picked Daniel Bryan to be his SummerSlam opponent after teasing everyone else from Heath Slater and the rest of 3MB to Randy Orton to The Great Khali to Alberto Del Rio to Chris Jericho to Rob Van Dam to Fandango to Sheamus to Ryback.

NXT (July 17th)

  • In a Triple Threat match, Leo Kruger defeated Sami Zayn and Antonio Cesaro to become #1 contender for Bo Dallas' NXT championship when Kruger pinned Zayn after Cesaro had hit the Neutraliser on Zayn and Kruger stole the pinfall victory away from Cesaro.
  • Bo Dallas pinned Scott Dawson with a belly to belly suplex. After the match, Kruger laid out Dallas with the Kruger-End.

Smackdown (July 19th)

  • Booker T returned and thanked Teddy Long for doing a hell of a job in his absence, but he's back now and ready to do his duties as General Manager. Vince McMahon then came out and told them that only one person can be in charge of Smackdown, he was going to make a decision on that matter and wanted them to book matches for later to impress him. Teddy made Curtis Axel vs. Chris Jericho for the Intercontinental title, whilst Booker proposed Alberto Del Rio, the World Heavyweight Champion, against Randy Orton, the winner of the "All Stars" Money in the Bank ladder match. Out popped Brad Maddox wanting to be the Smackdown GM too and he booked the return of Rob Van Dam to the show. McMahon then made Vickie Guerrero the permanent General Manager of SmackDown, who came out and berated the audience for getting her fired from her similar position on Raw.
  • Dolph Ziggler pinned Jack Swagger with the Zig Zag. After the match, Dolph Ziggler apologised to AJ Lee for not dumping her sooner. AJ threw a fit backstage and was comforting by Big E Langston. He teased kissing her on the lips, but instead plants one on her forehead, leaving AJ confused.
  • The Usos jumped The Shield's Seth Rollins & Roman Reigns before their scheduled match had started, which led to Dean Ambrose coming down and helping his comrades to beat the babyfaces down until Mark Henry made the save, helping The Usos to clear the ring of the dastardly triumvirate.

Impact Wrestling (July 18th)

  • Bully Ray started the show by telling the crowd that you can chant Chris Sabin's name to high heaven, but that kid ain't got a chance in hell to beat me for the world title. He then called out the recently engaged Brooke Hogan and told her that she only gets to move on when he says so. A pissed off Hulk Hogan then came out and took Brooke to the back. Ray then proclaimed that he'll never give her a divorce and he'll never lose the heavyweight title. The Main Event Mafia then appeared on the screen and told Ray that they're here for a scrap with Aces & 8s and they're going to ensure that the main event is a fair fight.
  • In a Bound for Glory Series match, Austin Aries pinned Bobby Roode with the brainbuster.

  • Hulk Hogan gave Chris Sabin the same pep talk he gave Bully Ray at Lockdown.
  • Mr. Anderson interrupted a generic Main Event Mafia promo and cordially invited them to find Aces & 8s in the back. They chased after Anderson, but it was a trap. The rest of Aces & 8s ambushed them, leading to Devon locking Samoa Joe, Magnus and Rampage Jackson in a room and Bully Ray chucking Kurt Angle into a pickup truck that sped off.

  • Kurt Angle was shown driving back to the arena in the pickup truck he had been kidnapped in.

  • Austin Aries told Chris Sabin he was pulling for him tonight.
