Speculating on the rumors surrounding pro wrestling is a favored pastime of many fans, perhaps second only to actually watching the matches. In this daily column, we take a look at the latest rumors being churned out by the pro wrestling rumor mill.
Important reminder: Rumors are just that -- rumors. None of this has been confirmed as legitimate news or fact; so remember to take it all with a grain of salt.
Rumors for the Day:
- Though the Shield has remained strong as a three man group, there is talk that the Wyatt Family could expand down the line. Right now, their attempted recruitment of Kane will likely lead to a SummerSlam match involving he and the family.
- Christian is finally back and...he dodged a bullet that may have knocked him right back out of action. As you may seen on Raw last night (July 15,) Christian suffered a cracked front tooth during the Money in the Bank ladder match on Sunday. The injury reportedly occurred on a punch from Sheamus, and there was a fear that he suffered a concussion from the hit. Luckily, he passed testing and wrestled a match against Damien Sandow.
- Paul Heyman may be in the market for another new client, this time, in NXT. The official NXT Twitter page asked the WWE Universe who they think should be the next Paul Heyman guy from the ranks of NXT. A number of main event talents are being advertised to appear on NXT in the coming weeks with the new developmental center now open, and Paul Heyman could be one of them.
- In a sort of "news of the weird" kind of story, WWE creative has a leak and they are not happy about it. Much fuss has been made about Reddit user "Dolphins1925," who, prior to each pay per view event this year, has posted the exact winners of every match with 100% accuracy. Deadspin has a good article detailing the entire story here.
