The world heavyweight championship Money in the Bank ladder match kicked off the pay-per-view (PPV) of the same name tonight (Sun., July 14, 2013) in Philadelphia. So who came away with the blue briefcase? None other than Damien Sandow.

The pay-per-view (PPV) portion of the Money in the Bank event tonight (Sun., July 14, 2013) from the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, kicked off with the world heavyweight championship Money in the Bank ladder match, featuring Dean Ambrose, Fandango, Antonio Cesaro, Jack Swagger, Damien Sandow, Cody Rhodes, and Wade Barrett all vying for the coveted blue briefcase.

And Sandow is the man who came away with it.

It's almost impossible for a gimmick match like this to disappoint, and this one was no exception. Some of the highlights included Cesaro hitting Barrett with the Swiss Death coming off a ladder, Swagger slamming Ambrose from that slam ladder just after, Rhodes hitting Cesaro with a muscle buster on a ladder in the corner.

That's without even mentioning Cesaro riding Swagger's shoulders in an attempt to get to the briefcase without a ladder and coming crashing to the mat after Rhodes came in with a missile dropkick to take Swagger out.

In the end, Sandow, who spent the least amount of time involved in the actual match and did the least to get it over, came away with the victory, screwing over his friend Rhodes, who did the most to get the match over, in the process.

What a match.
