After teasing that an official announcement would be made today, WWE.com has made it official: The Wyatt family attack on Monday Night Raw earlier this week will keep Kane out of the WWE championship Money in the Bank "All Stars" ladder match at the pay-per-view (PPV) of the same name this Sun., July 14, 2013, at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
From the report:
After days of speculation, it's now official. The Big Red Monster Kane will not compete in this Sunday's Money in the Bank All-Stars Match, according to WWE.com sources.
Kane was injured in a brutal assault by The Wyatt Family on Raw, leaving the veteran with head and neck trauma.
The article goes on to state it's possible someone will be chosen as a replacement before giving a list of potentials. However, it also states it's entirely possible no one steps into the match and it goes ahead with the six wrestlers slated to participate right now: CM Punk, Sheamus, Randy Orton, Daniel Bryan, Christian, and Rob Van Dam.
This may have always been the plan, and it's probably for the best. Kane always seemed a little out of place in a gimmick match like this, even though he's won it before. It also sets up for that big six-man tag team match against the men who took him out at SummerSlam next month.
Are any of you Cagesiders upset "The Big Red Monster" won't be working this Sunday?
