WWE Money in the Bank free pre-show 'kickoff' match: The Shield vs. The Usos

The rumored tag team championship match between The Shield and The Usos for the "Money in the Bank" pay-per-view (PPV) is now official, as WWE announced it will kickoff the event on the free streaming pre-show.

WWE.com

It was rumored for a couple weeks but now WWE has made it official: The Shield, Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns, will defend their tag team championship titles against The Usos, Jimmy and Jey, at the Money in the Bank pay-per-view (PPV) on Sun., July 14, 2013, at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

And, believe it or not, it's the "Kickoff" match that will take place on the free streaming pre-show.

From the WWE.com match preview:

At Money in the Bank, WWE Tag Team Champions Seth Rollins & Roman Reigns will put their illustrious titles on the line against The Usos. Can the formidable Samoan combination crack The Shield?

To say that The Shield has dominated WWE since arriving on the scene at last year's Survivor Series would be an understatement - unleashing a hostile takeover that has swiftly laid waste to the likes of The Undertaker, Big Show, Randy Orton and Team Hell No. Their rule was cemented when Rollins & Reigns seized tag team gold from Kane & Daniel Bryan in a Tornado Tag Match at Extreme Rules on the same night that their fellow Hound of Justice, Dean Ambrose, captured the United States Title. Like a runaway truck, The Shield has shown no signs of slowing down ever since.

I'm not sure if it's good or bad that The Shield have fallen down to a free pre-show. Then again, you could look at it from the perspective that we'll get to see a Shield match for free, and it will almost certainly be a good one.

So there you go.

Here's the updated Money in the Bank match card and line-up:

- John Cena vs. Mark Henry (WWE championship)
- WWE title Money in the Bank ladder match
- World heavyweight title Money in the Bank ladder match
- Alberto Del Rio vs. Dolph Ziggler (World heavyweight championship)
- Curtis Axel vs. The Miz (Intercontinental championship)
- AJ Lee vs. Kaitlyn (Diva's championship)
- Chris Jericho vs. Ryback
- The Shield vs. The Usos (Tag team championships)
